Course Description:

This foundation course is designed to provide the essential background knowledge for CIS candidates preparing to take 7711-21B rework/repair training and certification. Ideal candidates are new hires, ESL students, and visual learners who want to be prepared to tackle CIS training and certification for IPC-7711/21B. The student will learn best practices in reworking PCBs, procedures for BGAs, methods for reworking surface mount components, both for lead free and lead soldered assembly’s. Several other procedures are covered in this practical rework course. This course is also ideal for vocational / technical schools, state and federal job training centers, independent training centers, community colleges and anyone engaged in school-to- work programs.

Testing & Certificate:

A Certificate of Completion will be issued to the student upon completion of the testing requirement of the course. A passing grade of 70% is needed to receive the certificate. The student will be allowed to take the test a total of 3 times to achieve a passing grade.
